| Advocacy Specialist
Delta Center has an opening for a part-time Advocacy Specialist. This is a grant-funded position for two years with potential for additional years if funding is secured. Typical work week is 20 hours per week. Office hours are M-F, 8:30-5:00.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Organizing and supporting Delta Center’s Advocacy Network (comprised of individuals with disabilities)
• Researching, organizing and disseminating various information to advocates, including information on legislative and policy issues
• Assisting advocacy groups in planning and implementing their systems change and policy related advocacy goals
• Communicating with and assisting others in communicating with Legislators
• Attend out of office meetings and travel
Qualified individual must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree (social work; political science; law; or related)
• One year of full-time relevant paid job experience
• Proven results in advocacy/community organizing (please describe in cover letter)
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications and internet based research
• Ability to manage interruptions and multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively by phone and in person
• Transportation with 48 hours notice

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS NEEDED
If you love children, Youth In Need is looking for you! We are seeking both degreed and non-degreed full-time Early Childhood Teachers for our Warrenton, MO, locations.
Degreed teacher responsibilities include creating a safe, nurturing and challenging environment for children ages 0-5 and planning curriculum and providing developmentally appropriate activities for the children both individually and as a group. Interested candidates should also have at least 6 months of working with children 0-5. Early Childhood Educators with CDAs, associates degrees and bachelor's-level degrees will be considered. Teacher compensation is as follows; CDA $9.00/hr, AA $11.00/hr, BA $12.98/hr. To be considered for this opening, a copy of your transcripts or your current CDA (whichever is applicable) MUST be included with your application.
Support Teachers assist degreed teaching staff in maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for Head Start eligible children. Qualified Support Teacher applicants will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and experience working with children. Support Teachers start out at $8.50/hr.
