Reports to Manager of Events and Promotions and Corporate Director of Marketing Supervises Customer Service Staff
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years relevant experience in Property Management. Retail management or retail marketing. Possesses the ability to think strategically and seize trends and shifts in national and local retailing. Possess the skill set to execute the strategic plan for the property and advanced skills in leadership, team building, marketing, communications, public and community relations, and financial management. The MM will be the lead in the developing,
planning and execution the property business plan for signature, special and promotional events. The MM will have primary responsibility for generating third party revenue to support these events and promotions. The MM will have primary responsibility for the financial management of the marketing budgets to recommend costs savings to senior
management.
Essential Functions/kev areas of responsibilitv
Interface with the Retailer
Continually monitor and audit the center merchant's retail operation with the intent to fully understand and evaluate the full breadth of product mix and retail operations within the center.
Regularly recommend to senior management improvements to merchandizing, store management, staffing, stock levels and mix and merchandizing categories desired by the target consumers for the property.
Develop the insight and ability to identify a strategic means to maximize sales and consumer traffic for center merchants.
Build traffic, sales and marketing revenue
Serve an interactive role in marketing the center through the creation, implementation and evaluation of effective sales generating/traffic generating events and promotions.
Develop and evolve a "signature event" for their property that connects and identifies the property with it's' market consumers.
Operate under the umbrella of the Preferred Outlet portfolio branding strategy and imaging in all marketing initiatives and materials.
Utilize special events and/or promotions as a catalyst to generate third party marketing value.
Develop and implement an annual marketing plan with measurable goals and a coordinating budget.
Utilize corporate marketing support to enhance your marketing plans and initiatives.
Oversee total operation of the center and staffing integration
Together with the Operations Manager, monitor, develop and evaluate center staffing needs and third party services
required to meet the standards set by senior management. Periodically challenges the variable and fixed costs of
operations to suggest operating costs saving to senior management.
Community/municipality relations
Become involved in a strategically related organization within the community/municipality and
develop relationships with key community, political and municipality leaders.
Strive to position the center as the shopping destination of choice within the trade area.
Identify and integrate the center into the fabric of the community through strategic participation whenever
possible.
